Guidelines
The Washington Council on Global Affairs seeks original ideas and analyses on topics including US foreign and national economic policy, security, energy, technology, religious freedom, migration, and diplomacy.
We are happy to consider articles between 750 and 2,500 words in length.
Please submit your article by email in a Word document. For important statements, claims, and quotations, please embed hyperlinks to point to sources.

Please include a subject line with the title of the proposed article and a biography of no more than 75 to 120 words.
If the article is approved for publishing, we will request a high-resolution professional headshot in .jpeg format.
Please give our editorial board three to five business days from the time of submission in which to evaluate the proposed article. If you do not hear back from us within a week, you may consider looking elsewhere to publish your article.
If published, editors may write a new headline, sub headline, and/or break headlines at their discretion.
Editors will select the photo or photos they determine are most appropriate to accompany the article.
